The Boba Bliss: The Carrier I Wish I Had Sooner

The Boba Bliss: The Carrier I Wish I Had Sooner

When I had my first two babies, baby carriers always felt like a trade-off. The stretchy wraps were soft and cosy, perfect for those newborn snuggles I loved, but so fiddly and time-consuming. The structured carriers were practical, but bulky, and never gave me the same closeness or comfort I wanted in those early months.

By the time I had my third, my sister kept raving about this new hybrid carrier she had — the Boba Bliss. It wasn’t around with my older two, but when she lent me hers, I finally understood why she loved it so much.

It had everything I had wished for in those early newborn days: the softness and cosiness of a wrap (without the metres of fabric), combined with the ease of adjustable straps that made it quick to put on. No tricky knots, no stress — just baby snuggled up close in seconds.

I started using it when my baby was only a week old, and it became my go-to for the first 6 months and I continue to reach for it during nap times in the first year.

It came with me on the plane when she was a month old and again when she was 9 months old — it packed down so small it fit right into my hand bag. When it came time for a nap, she could snuggle in close and drift off against me. The softness and closeness made those plane naps peaceful in a way a bulkier structured carrier never could. And after the trip, I just tossed it in the washing machine, which, as every parent knows, is essential when you have a little one.

If you’re looking for a carrier that will truly support you through the newborn stage and first year, the Boba Bliss is the one I wish I’d had sooner.
